the Dublin Library.
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the City of Dublin City Council will be held on
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.

3.1 Public Comments
At this time, the public is permitted to address the City Council on non-agendized items. Please step to the podium and clearly state your name for the
record. COMMENTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED THREE 131 MINUTES. In accordance with State Law, no action or discussion may take place on any item
not appearing on the posted agenda. The Council may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future
meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the City Clerk's Office related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future
City Council agenda. The exceptions under which the City Council MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in
Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).

8. NEW BUSINESS
8.1 Certification of November 4, 2008 Election Results (630-30)
The City Council will certify the Election results for the Offices of Mayor and two
Councilmembers, which will be received from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution Reciting the Facts of the General Municipal
Election Held on November 4, 2008, Declaring the Results Thereof, and Such Other Matters as are
Provided by Law.
8.2 Presentation of Plaques to Outgoing Mayor Janet Lockhart and Councilmember Tony
Oravetz (610-50)
Mayor Lockhart has served on the Dublin City Council as Mayor from 2001 through 2008, and
as a Councilmember since 1996 through 2001. Councilmember Oravetz has served as a
Councilmember since 2000. They have served residents of Dublin since that time.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Present plaques and receive comments from outgoing Mayor
Janet Lockhart and Councilmember Tony Oravetz.
8.3 Administration of Oath of Office to Newly Elected Mayor and Councilmembers (640-60)

10. ADJOURNMENT Adjourn to regular meeting of December 2, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in the Dublin
City Council Chambers.
