ORAL COMMUNICATIONS 3.1 Administration of Oath of Office by City Clerk to newly appointed Commissioners At this time, members of the audience are permitted to address the Parks and Community Services Commission on items of interest to the public, however, in accordance with GC54954.2, no ACTION or DISCUSSION shall take place on any item which is NOT on the Parks and Community Services Commisson Agenda. The Commission may respond briefly to statements made or questions posed, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Furthermore, a member of the Commission may direct Staff to place a matter of business on a future agenda. Any person may arrange with the Director(no later than 11 a.m., on the Wednesday preceding a regular meeting)to have an item of concern placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting. The exceptions under which the Parks and Community Services Commission MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda, are contained in GC54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3). 4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING-DECEMBER 13, 1994 • STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE 5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS-NONE 6. PUBLIC HEARINGS-NONE 7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-NONE 8. NEW BUSINESS 8.1 Request for City Gymnasium The Commission will discuss a request from Dublin resident Betsy Chapman for an additional gymnasium for the City of Dublin. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT AND PROVIDE APPROPRIATE DIRECTION 8.2 Heritage Center Status Report The Commission will receive a report on the status of the Heritage Center including the Heritage Center Renovation,the Heritage Center Director Recruitment and the Heritage Center Advisory Committee. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT 8.3 Art in the Parks Program The Dublin Fine Arts Foundation has selected potential artists for Alamo Creek,Kolb and Stagecoach Parks and a reception will be held on January 27 to view the models of the proposed artworks and meet the artists. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT 8.4 1995 California and Pacific Southwest Recreation and Park Conference The Commission will discuss attendance at the upcoming Recreation and Park Conference in San Jose, March 2-5, 1995. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: DETERMINE IF MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ARE INTERESTED IN ATENDING THE CONFERENCE 9. OTHER BUSINESS 9.1 Brief INFORMATIONAL ONLY reports from Commissioners and/or Staff 10.
