At this time, the public is permitted to address the Parks and Community Services Commission on non-agendized items.
The Commission must,however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda. The
Commission may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting
concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Office of the Parks and Community Services Director
related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future Parks and Community Services Commission agenda. The
exceptions under which the Parks and Community Services Commission MAY discuss and/or take action on items not
appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).

- 7.1 Youth Advisory Committee Bylaws and Rules of Procedure
The Commission will review the draft Bylaws and Rules of Procedure for the newly formed Youth
Advisory Committee.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE AND DIRECT STAFF TO SUBMIT TO THE CITY
COUNCIL FOR ADOPTION
8. NEW BUSINESS
8.1 Team Building Workshop with City Council
The Commission will identify topics related to the areas of parks,"recreation and community services for
inclusion into the agenda for the upcoming Team Building Workshop.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: IDENTIFY TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION WITH THE CITY
COUNCIL
8.2 Heritage Fall Festival
The Commission will receive a report on the Heritage Fall Festival conducted on September 27, 1997.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT
8.3 Committee Appointments
The Commission will recommend appointments to the various committees.
