CALL TO ORDER 2, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS 3.1 Brief Informationat Only Reports from Senior Center and Youth Advisory Committees 3.2 Public Comments At this time, the pub[ic is permined to address the Parks and Community Services Commission on non- agendized items. The Commission must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda. The Commission may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Arry member of the public may contact the Office of the Parks and Community Services Department related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future Parks and Community Services Commrssion agenda. The exceptions under which the Parks and Communiry Services Commission MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearrng on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3) 4. NIIlNUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING - December 17, 2007 Staff Recommendation: Approve Minutes. 5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - None 6. PUBLIC HEARING - None 7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - None 8. NEW BUSINESS 8.1 Election of Chairperson 9nd Vice Chairperson The Commission wi1L conduct an election for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for one-year terms. Staff Recommendation: Conduct elections for a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for one- year terms. 8.2 Committee Appointments The Commission will review the current committee appointments and make changes as deemed necessary. Staff Recommendation: Review the current committee appointments and make changes and/or appointments to the various committees as deemed necessary. 8.3 Stagecoach Park Play Equipment Proposal The Commission will consider two proposals for replacement of the play equipment at Stagecoach Park. Staff Recommendation: 1) Receive Staff presentation; 2) receive public comments; and 3) select preferred option for recommendation to the City Council. Staff Recommendation: Receive the report and provide input. 8.5 Dublin Swim Center Competitive Pool Analysis The Commission will receive a report on the feasibility of relocating the future competitive pool from Emerald Glen Park to the Dublin Swim Center. Staff Recommendation: Receive the report and provide a recommendation to the City Council on the preferred location for the competitive pool. 8.6 Parks and Community Services Goals and Objectives The Commission will review a status report on the 2007-2008 Objectives, receive on overview of the City's Strategic Plan, and consider the 2008-2009 Objectives. Staff Recommendation: 1) Receive report; 2) receive public comments; and 3) deliberate and rate the Preliminary Goals and Objectives for 2008-2009. 9. OTHER BUSINESS 9.1 Brief Informational Only Reports from Commissioners and/or Staff and Reports by Commission related to Meetings Attended at City Expense (AB 1234). 10. ADJOURNMENT -2-
