ORAL COMMUNICATIONS At this time, members of the audience are permitted to address the Parks and Community Services Commission on items of interest to the public, however, in accordance with GC 54954.2, no ACTION or DISCUSSION shall take place on any item which is NOT on the Parks and Community Services Commission Agenda. The Parks and Community Services Commission may respond briefly to statements made or questions posed, or may' request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Furthermore, a member of the Parks and Community Services Commission may direct Staff to place a matter of business on a future agenda. Any person may arrange with the Parks and Community Services Director (no later than 11a.m. , on the Wednesday preceding a regular meeting) to have an item of concern placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting. The exceptions under which the Parks and Community Services Commission MAY discuss . and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b) (1) (2) (3) . 4 . MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING - DECEMBER 13, 1994 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE 5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - NONE 6. PUBLIC HEARING - NONE 7 . UNFINISHED BUSINESS - NONE 8 . . NEW BUSINESS S. 1 Request for City Gymnasium At the December 13, 1994 meeting of the Parks and Community Services Commission, Betsy Chapman, a Dublin Resident, addressed the Commission regarding the need for an additional gym in the City of Dublin. The Commission requested to have this item placed on the agenda- for further discussion. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT AND PROVIDE DIRECTION 8.2 Parks and Community Services Department Goals and Objectives On March 6, 1995 the City Council will conduct a Goals and Objectives Study Session to review the progress made on 1994 goals and objectives and to develop goals and objectives for ' 1995. Staff has prepared a year-end status report of the 1994 goals and ojectives and the proposed goals and objectives for 1995 for the Commission. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: - REVIEW PROGRESS OF THE 1994 GOALS AND OBJECTIVES - PROVIDE INPUT ON PRELIMINARY 1995 GOALS AND OBJECTIVES - ADD ADDITIONAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES AS APPROPRIATE - PRIORITIZE FOR REVIEW BY CITY COUNCIL 8.3 Committee Appointments There are a number of City committees and task forces that requires representation of a member of the Parks and Community Services Commission. Staff has prepared a summary of the various committees and task forces for the Commission. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: MAKE APPOINTMENTS 8. 4 Fall 1994 Quarterly Report Staff has prepared a report of the activities and programs conducted by the Parks and Community Services Department for Fall 1994 (September, October, November and December) .
