3.2 Public Comments
At this time, the public is permitted to address the Parks and Community Services Commission on non-
agendized items. The Commission must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not
appearing on the posted agenda. The Commission may respond to statements made or questions asked, or
may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public
may contact the Office of the Parks and Community Services Director related to the proper procedure to
place an item on a future Parks and Community Services Commission agenda. The exceptions under
which the Parks and Community Services Commission MAY discuss and/or take action on items not
appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3)
4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—March 15,2004
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve Minutes.
5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
5.1 Request to Waive Field Use Fees for Challenger Baseball Program
The Commission will consider a request from Dublin Little League for the City to waive Field Use
Fees for the Challenger Baseball program. Challenger Baseball is a division of Little League
Baseball established in 1989 that provides mentally and physically handicapped children age 5 to
18 an opportunity to play real baseball.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Provide recommendation to City Council.
6. PUBLIC HEARING
6.1 Amendments to Fee Schedules
The Commission will consider proposed fee adjustments for the preschool and aquatics programs.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive the Staff presentation; open the Public Hearing;
receive public testimony; close the Public Hearing and deliberate; and, adopt the resolutions.
7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-None
8. NEW BUSINESS
8.1 Emerald Glen Park Parking Study
The Commission will review and consider the recommendations contained in the Community
Center and Recreation&Aquatic Center Parking Study done for Emerald Glen Park.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Recommend approval of Parking Study to City Council
with a recommendation on the preferred option dealing with the location and size of the
amphitheater.
