CALL TO ORDER 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE • 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS At this time, members of the audience are permitted to address the Parks and Community Services Commission on items of interest to the public, however, in accordance with GC 54954.2, no ACTION or DISCUSSION shall take place on any item which is NOT on the Parks and Community Services Commission Agenda. The Parks and Community Services Commission may respond briefly to statements made or questions posed, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Furthermore, a member of the Parks and Community Services Commission may direct Staff to place a matter of business on a future agenda. Any person may arrange with the Parks and Community Services Director (no later than 11 a.m., on the Monday preceding a regular meeting) to have an item of concern placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting. The exceptions under which the Parks and Community Services Commission MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3). 4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING-MAY 20, 1996 AND SPECIAL MEETING OF MAY 29, 1996 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE 5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - NONE 6. PUBLIC HEARING-NONE 7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - NONE 8. NEW BUSINESS 8.1 Appointment of Student Representative to Parks and Community Services Commission The Commission will confirm the appointment of Wanjiku Kamau as the Student Representative to the Parks and Community Services Commission. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE APPOINTMENT 8.2 Schaefer Ranch Project On April 8, 1996 the City Council and Planning Commission conducted a Study Session to address development issues on the Schaefer Ranch Project. Staff has reviewed the recreational amentities proposed by the developer and has prepared a brief analysis of each of the proposed amentities for the Commissions consideration. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: 1) RECEIVE STAFF REPORT 2) RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENT, AND 3) CONFIRM STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS OR PROVIDE ADDITIONAL DIRECTION 8.3 Winter 1996 Quarterly Report Staff has prepared a summary of the activities and programs conducted during the Winter Quarter for the Commissions review and comments. . STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT 9. OTHER BUSINESS 9.1 Brief INFORMATIONAL ONLY Reports from Parks & Community Services Commissioners and/or Staff 10. ADJOURNMENT
