DUBLIN PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING - September 13 , 1988 SHANNON CENTER
Tuesday - 7 :30p.m. East Room
1. CALL TO ORDER
2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
At this time, members of the audience are permitted to
address the Park and Recreation Commission on any item which
is not on the Agenda. Comments should not exceed 5 minutes.
If any person feels that this is not sufficient time to
address their concern, that person should arrange with the
Recreation Director to have their particular concern placed
on the agenda for a future meeting.
3 . MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING - August 9 , 1988
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve
4 . WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
4 .1 Request from Valley Spokesman to Waive the Facility Use
Policy for Shannon Center
Bonnie Powers of Valley Spokesman has requested that
consideration be given to waive residency requirement
in order to continue use of Shannon Center for monthly
meetings.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Consider Request
4 .2 Request to Conduct a Fundraiser at Shannon Park
Dave Peterson would like to conduct a "Ride for the
Hungry" at Shannon Park to benefit the Alameda County
Food Bank.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Consider Request
5. NEW BUSINESS
5 .1 Renovation of Shannon Community Center
The Commission will review the schematic design for the
renovatiion of Shannon Center.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Review. Plans and Provide Input
5 .2 Facility Use Policy - Shannon Community Center
The Commission will consider revising the residency
requirements for Shannon Center.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Review and Discuss Proposed
Revisions.
5. 3 1989 St. Patrick ' s Day Celebration
As Shannon Center will be undergoing renovation in
March, the Commission will consider alternate locations
for the Annual Celebration.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Provide Input
