3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
At this time, members of the audience are permitted to address the
Parks and Recreation Commission on any item which is not on the
Agenda. Comments should not exceed 5 minutes. If any person feels
that this is not sufficient time to address their concern, that person
should arrange with the Recreation Director to have their particular
concern placed on the agenda for a future meeting.
4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING - SEPTEMBER 14, 1993
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
.5.1 Request from Dublin United Soccer League to waive use fees
The Parks & Recreation Commission will consider a request from
the Dublin United Soccer League for waiver of use fees for the
Dublin Sports Grounds for the Alameda County Special Olympics.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: GRANT REQUEST TO WAIVE FEES FOR THE
ALAMEDA SPECIAL OLYMPICS
5.2 Dublin Sports Grounds Scorebooth Proposal
A proposal has been received from Professional Sports Marketing,
Inc. , who proposes to provide a scoring systemS at no expense to
the City.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: DIRECT STAFF TO REVIEW THE PROPOSAL
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1 Dublin Fine Arts Foundation Proposed Program "Art in the Parks"
The DFAF has requested that the . Parks & Recreation Commission
consider-, in priority order, which initial three park _ projects
should be considered for the program.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: DETERMINE THE PRIORITY FOR THE INITIAL
THREE PARK PROJECTS

6.2 Scholarship Assistance Fee Program
Staff has revised the guidelines and application as directed by
the Parks & Recreation Commission at their meeting of
September 12, 1993 .
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE PROPOSED GUIDELINES AND
APPLICATION OR PROVIDE FURTHER DIRECTION
7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Summer 1993 Aquatics Report
Staff has prepared a report for the Parks & Recreation
Commission's review, summarizing the recreational and
instructional programs for the 1993 Summer season.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT
7.2 Halloween Spooktacular
Staff proposes to conduct only one event this year, the
Halloween Spooktacular Preschool Party, on Saturday, October 30.
The Frightening Feast, due to continued low turnout, will not be
conducted.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: RECEIVE REPORT
7.3 Summer Quarter 1993 Recreation Report
The Parks & Recreation Commission will receive a report
summarizing the activities of the Department during the Summer
Quarter, June through August 1993 .
