CALL TO ORDER 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS At this time, the public is permitted to address the Youth Advisory Committee on non-agendizea-items. The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Parks and Community Services Department related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future Youth Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the Youth Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3). • 4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—December 17,2008 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve Minutes. 5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS-NONE • 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS—NONE 7. NEW BUSINESS 7.1 Parks and Community Services Department Goals and Objectives Staff is preparing for the annual City Council Goals & Objectives Study Session. The Study Session provides the Council with an opportunity to reach consensus on the primary direction and allocation of City resources for the upcoming year. The Youth Advisory Committee will determine if there should be any preliminary Goals& Objectives related to youth and teens. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Provide input on the Preliminary Goals and Objectives for 2009-2010 and determine whether there are additional objectives related to youth and teens that should be proposed for 2009-2010. 7.2 Subcommittee Reports Subcommittee Members from the St. Patrick's Day Festival Booth, Website, "Bearing is Caring" fundraiser and the Video Game Tournament Subcommittees will provide an update on the progress and planning of each of these activities. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive reports. 8. OTHER BUSINESS 8.1 Brief Informational Only Reports from Committee Members, Sub Committees, and/or Staff and Reports by Commission related to Meetings Attended at City Expense (AB 1234). 9.
