At this time, the public is permitted to address the Youth Advisory Committee on non-agendized
items. The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not
appearing on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions
asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any
member of the public may contact the Parks and Community Services Department related to the
proper procedure to place an item on a future Youth Advisory Committee agenda. The
exceptions under which the Youth Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on
items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).
4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—June 24,2009
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE MINUTES

7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Youth Advisory Committee Goals for 2009-2010
Committee Members will identify Committee goals for the 2009-2010 term. Staff will assist the
Committee by facilitating the selection of goals.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and identify goals for the 2009-2010 term
7.2 Teen Website Subcommittee
Staff will ask for interested Committee Members to serve on a Teen Website Subcommittee that is
responsible for providing information and features on the website to draw interest for teens to visit
the site.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report recruit interested Committee Members to
serve on a Teen Website Subcommittee and discuss potential website content.
7.3 Spring 2009 Teen Quarterly Report
Staff will present to the Youth Advisory Committee the Spring 2009 Teen Program Report.
STAFF RECOMENTATION: Receive report.
8. OTHER BUSINESS
8.1 Brief Informational Only Reports from Committee Members, Subcommittees, and/or Staff and
Reports by Commission related to Meetings Attended at City Expense(AB 1234).
