CALL TO ORDER 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS . 3.1 ' 2006 Tri-Valley Youth and Wellness Summit ' James Nguyen,Program Manager for the Alameda County Health Services Coalition, will provide a brief presentation on the 2006 Tri-Valley Youth Health and Wellness Summit scheduled for • November 9, 2006 in Pleasanton. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report. 3.2 Public Comment At this time, the public is permitted to address the Youth Advisory Committee on non-agendized items. The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Parks and Community Services Department related to the proper procedure to place an item on a.future Youth Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the Youth Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3). 4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—September 27, 2006 • STAFF RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE MINUTES 5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS-NONE 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS—NONE 7. NEW BUSINESS 7.1 Election of Youth Advisory Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson • The Committee will nominate and elect members for the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and nominate and elect a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for the 2006-2007 term. • • 7.2 'Teen Events Staff will ask for ideas from Committee Members regarding potential teen events to be offered during 2006-2007. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and solicit ideas from Committee Members for potential teen events. 7.3 Publicity Subconunittee for Teen Special Events Staff will solicit interested Committee Members to serve on a Publicity Subcommittee to assist with the advertising of teen special events. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and recruit interested Committee Members to serve on a Publicity Subcommittee for teen special events. 7.4 Teen Website Subcommittee Staff will ask for interested Committee Members to serve on a Teen Website Subcommittee • responsible for providing information and features the website should include which would draw interest for teens to visit the site. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and recruit interested Committee Members to serve on a Website Subcommittee 7.5 Dublin Tree Lighting Ceremony Staff will recruit interested Committee Members to volunteers to assist in the set-up and general assistance during the Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Civic Center on December 7, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and recruit interested Committee Members to volunteer at Tree Lighting Ceremony. 8. OTHER BUSINESS 8.1 Brief Informational Only Reports from Committee Members, Sub Committees, and/or Staff and Reports by Commission related to Meetings Attended at City Expense (AB 1234). 9.
