At this time, the public is permitted to address the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee on non-agendized items.
The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda. The
Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting
concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Office of the Dublin Senior Center Director related to
the proper procedure to place an item on a future Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions
under which the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on
the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).
4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—December 4,2003
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve minutes.
5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS—None
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1 Appointment of Alternate Representative to Fallon Sports Park Task Force
In December the Committee appointed a Committee Member to serve as the representative to the Fallon
Sports Park Task Force. The Committee needs to appoint an alternate representative to attend Task Force
meetings in the absence of the primary representative from the Senior Center Advisory Committee.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Appoint an alternate Committee Member to serve on the Fallon
Sports Park Task Force.
7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Change of Monthly Meeting Date of the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee
The Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee 'recommends changing the monthly meeting date from the
second Thursday to the first Thursday of each month.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Change the Advisory Committee's meeting dates.
7.2 Volunteer Identification Badges
Using the City's Identification Badge Policy as a model, Staff will be requiring volunteers to wear a Dublin
Senior Center Volunteer Badge while working at the facility. The purpose of this procedure is to help
patrons recognize and identify the volunteers. It will also be used as a tool to regularly recognize volunteers
for the time and support they give to the Dublin Senior Center.
RECOMMENDATION: Receive report.
7.3 Values, Vision and Mission of the Dublin Senior Center
Over the next several months, Staff will be developing a strategic plan that will provide direction for
expanding programs and services for the new Dublin Senior Center. The Committee will participate in an
exercise to help determine the values,vision and mission of the Dublin Senior Center.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and provide input.
