DUBLIN CIVIC CENTER, 100 CIVIC PLAZA, COUNCIL CHAMBERS 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS 3.1 PUBLIC COMMENTS At this time, the public is permitted to address the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee on non-agendized items. The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked,or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Office of the Dublin Senior Center Director related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3). 4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—January 6,2005 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve Minutes. 5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS-None 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-None • 7. NEW BUSINESS 7.1 STEP OUT FOR SENIOR CENTERS EVENT The Dublin Senior Center plans to host its Fourth Annual Step Out for Senior Centers event on Saturday, May 14, 2005. In the past this event has featured a walk,pancake breakfast, and display of services and resources available to local seniors. Staff will present the proposed program plan for the 2005 event. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report, provide input on the proposed program plan and appoint two Committee Members to serve on a subcommittee to assist with event planning and promotion. 7.2 GOALS AND OBJECTIVES The City Council will have their annual Goals&Objectives Study Session during April 2005. This provides the Council with an opportunity to reach consensus on the primary direction and allocation of City resources for the upcoming year. As has been done in the past,the Senior Center Advisory Committee will provide input on the preliminary Goals &Objectives related to Parks and Community Services. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive the report and public comment; provide input on the Preliminary Goals and Objectives; and,determine whether there are objectives relating to senior programming that should be proposed for 2005-2006. 8. OTHER BUSINESS 8.1 BRIEF INFORMATIONAL ONLY REPORTS FROM THE DUBLIN SENIOR FOUNDATION, PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION LIAISON, ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND/OR STAFF 9. ADJOURNMENT This NOTICE is posted in accordance with Government Code Section 54954(b)(3).
