DUBLIN SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
REGULAR MEETING

1. CALL TO ORDER

3.1 PUBLIC COMMENTS
At this time, the public is permitted to address the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee on
non-agendized items. The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items
not appearing on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions

• asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member
of the public may contact the Office of the Dublin Senior Center Recreation Coordinator related to
the proper procedure to place an item on a future Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee
agenda. The exceptions under which the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee MAY discuss
and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—February 2,2006
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve Minutes.
5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS-None
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1 STEP OUT FOR SENIOR CENTERS EVENT
The Dublin Senior Center's 5th Annual Step Out for Senior Centers event will be on Saturday,May
20, 2006. The theme of this year's event is "Connecting with Your Inner Spirit" and will feature a
walk,breakfast, art exhibition and display of services and resources available to local seniors. Staff
will present the updated event plan to the Committee at the meeting.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and provide input on event plan.
7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 ANNUAL VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION EVENT
In the past the Senior Center Staff have held a banquet to specifically recognize all of the Senior
Center volunteers. However now there is a similar City-wide volunteer recognition banquet held at
the Senior Center in February each year. Staff is seeking input from the Committee on possible
alternative events or methods of specifically recognizing the Senior Center volunteers. Staff will
present some preliminary ideas to the Committee at the meeting.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report and provide input on event plan.
8. OTHER BUSINESS
BRIEF INFORMATIONAL ONLY REPORTS FROM THE DUBLIN SENIOR FOUNDATION,
PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION LIAISON, ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MEMBERS AND/OR STAFF AND REPORTS BY COMMITTEE MEMBERS RELATED TO
MEETINGS ATTENDED AT CITY EXPENSE (AB1234). -
9. ADJOURNMENT
This AGENDA is posted in accordance with Government Code Section 54954.2(a)
