DUBLIN SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
REGULAR MEETING

3.1 PUBLIC COMMENTS
At this time, the public is permitted to address the Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee on non-
agendized items. The Committee must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard-to items not appearing
on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request
Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the
Office of the Dublin Senior Center Director related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future
Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the Dublin Senior Center
Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in
GC 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).
4. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING—February 3,2005
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:Approve Minutes.
5. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS-None
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-None
7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 SENIOR TALENT SHOW PROPOSAL
The Committee will consider a proposal by the City's Heritage and Cultural Arts Division to
produce a Senior Talent Show in the new Senior Center during the spring of 2006.
STAFF RECOMENDATION: Receive report, provide input, and appoint one Committee
Member to serve on a subcommittee to assist with event planning and promotion.
7.2 OVERVIEW OF SELECTED FABRICS FOR NEW SENIOR CENTER
Staff has been working with the Architect and Interior Designer to select fabrics for the furnishings
at the new Senior Center that will complement the building finishes. T he selected fabrics and color
palette will be presented to the Advisory Committee.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive presentation.
7.3 GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW SENIOR CENTER
The Advisory Committee will be asked to provide input on possible event components for the
Grand Opening of the new Senior Center.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report, provide input and appoint two Committee
Members or Senior Center patrons to serve on a sub-committee to assist Staff with event
planning.
7.4 MISSION,VISION AND VALUES OF THE DUBLIN SENIOR CENTER
Over the next several months, Staff will establish a Strategic Plan for the Dublin Senior Center.
The Strategic Plan will provide Staff with a focus and strategies for expanding and enhancing
programs and services that continually meet the needs of the community.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive report; recommend a final version of the Vision,
Mission and Values Statement; and,provide input on key trends.

8.1 BRIEF INFORMATIONAL ONLY REPORTS FROM THE DUBLIN SENIOR
FOUNDATION, PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION LIAISON,
ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND/OR STAFF
