RESOLUTION NO. 37 - 22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 HUMAN SERVICES GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, for the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Human Services Grant Program, the City received 19
qualifying public service applications and one qualifying capital funds application; and
WHEREA S, funding sources for the Human Services Grant Program include the federally
funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), City of Dublin General Fund and Affordable
Housing Fund, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and Homeless Housing, Assistance Prevention
Program (HHAP); and
WHEREAS, on March 24, 2022, the Human Services Commission recommended 19 public
service projects receive grant funding through the Human Services Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the recommended service projects attached to hereto
as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the allocation of CDBG capital funding, which was not
included as part of the Human Services Commission competitive review process for public service
projects, to fund Axis Community Health’s new project site; and
WHEREAS, the action taken by this Resolution shall approve the funding recommendations of
all funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby take the following actions:
1. Approve the Human Services Grant fund allocations, for Fiscal Year 2022-23, as
attached hereto as in Exhibit A; and
2. Direct Staff to work with the County of Alameda as required on the CDBG
funding allocations by reallocating funds as needed based on the confirmed CDBG funding guidelines
and funding level; and
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with the County of Alameda
for use of CDBG funds and the funding agreements with each grant recipient effective July 1, 2022
and take such further actions as may be necessary or appropriate to carry out the City Council’s
obligations pursuant to this Resolution.
