Regular Meeting: August I I , 2022
A Regular Meeting of the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission was held on Thursday,
August 11, 2022, in the Council Chamber at the Civic Center. The meeting was called to
order at 7:00 PM, by Vice Chairperson Julia Tomtania.

One speaker slip was received from Vanessa Thomas. Vanessa Thomas of the Dublin Art
Collective gave updates from the Collective's recent activities.

5. New Business
5.1 Dublin Transit Center Parking Garage Public Art Project
This item was moved forward in the agenda.
Bridget Amaya, Parks and Community Services Assistant Director, introduced Rachel
Osajima from Alameda County Arts Commission, to present the specifics of the item as
outlined in the staff report.
The commission was presented with the six design proposals. The public is encouraged
to vote on the proposals, and they are on display at Dublin Public Library. Rachel
handed around a sample of the glass that will be used on this project. The Commission
gave feedback, as well as asked questions.
4. Unfinished Business
4.1 Review of Draft Cultural Arts Center Business Plan
Bridget Amaya, Parks and Community Services Assistant Director, presented the
specifics of the item as outlined in the staff report.
The Commission gave feedback on fee structure, vision, direction and made
suggestions for changes to the plan. The recommendation was made that staff make
suggested changes to the plan and re present at a future meeting.
6. Other Business
Commissioners gave updates on various projects.
7. Adjournment
Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by Vice Chairperson Julia
Tomtania at 8:48 PM.
