A Regular Meeting of the Dublin Youth Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday,
October 26, 2022 at the Dublin Senior Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00
PM, by Committee Chair Brandon Maskey.

2.1 Public Comment
Melissa Hernandez, Mayor, discussed the importance of the Youth Advisory
Committee and public service, provided some background and history of the youth
committees in the City, and shared her personal and professional journey.
Susan Gardner, Teen Librarian, reported on the teen programs and events held at the
Dublin Public Library.

Regular Meeting.
The Committee approved the Consent Calendar.

5. New Business
5.1 Discussion of Volunteer Assignments at Winter Events
Liz Elliott, Recreation Supervisor, presented the volunteer assignments for discussion
and requested volunteers.
Committee members discussed the item and Chloe Brandt, Mahidhara Sudeendra,
Irene Chi, and Esha Shenoy volunteered to work the Winter Event – 39th Annual
Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1, 2022.
5.2 Discussion of Youth Mini Grant Application Review Process
Liz Elliott, Recreation Supervisor, presented the Youth Mini Grants application and
rating process for discussion.
The Committee discussed the item, gave feedback, and asked Staff follow up questions.
6. Other Business
AD-hoc committee members provided updates and requested donations and assistance
with Social Media marketing from Youth Advisory Committee Members for upcoming
events.
Committee Members Chloe Brandt and Yma Santos shared a recap of their experiences
working and attending the Fall City of Dublin special events including the Floating
Pumpkin Patch and the Ghosts of Dublin.

Advaith Krishna, PCS Student Representative, reported on business from the Parks and
Community Services Commission meeting, including the Wallis Ranch Park Naming,
the 2022 “Deck the Homes” Holiday Home Decorating Program, Jordan Ranch
Neighborhood Square Concept Design, The Wave Waterpark updates, as well as a
recap of his experience at the Fallon Sports Park Phase III opening.
Liz Elliott, Recreation Supervisor, reminded the Committee of the Youth Mini-Grant
Application closing date, other deadlines, and upcoming commitments of Committee
members.
7. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:11 PM.
