EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Youth Advisory Committee will receive a report regarding the Virtual Tri-Valley
Teen Job and Career Fair.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

DESCRIPTION:
Last year, the Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair was held on March 7, 2020, at the
San Ramon Senior Center with approximately 300 people in attendance.
The Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair is an annual event sponsored by t he
Dublin/San Ramon Women’s Club in partnership with the cities of Dublin, Pleasanton,
San Ramon, and the town of Danville. Each year the event is held at a community
center in the Tri-Valley; however, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the 2021 Tri-Valley
Teen Job Fair will be held online. With this event being offered virtually, teens will have
the opportunity to view and search available jobs in their city, participate in a resume
writing and interview techniques workshop, and interact with various career panelists.
Local employers will create a 30-60-second video to highlight the benefits of working for
their organizations this summer and identify positions that are available throughout the
year.
The event will be held online on Saturday, March 6, 2021 , from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Electronic flyers will be distributed to Danville, Dublin, Pleasanton, and San Ramon
Middle and High Schools in early February 2021. Staff will email an electronic copy of
the flyer to the Youth Advisory Committee to assist in promo ting the event.
