review at least 72 hours prior to a Youth Advisory Committee Meeting or, in the event that it is delivered to
Youth Advisory Committee members less than 72 hours prior to a Youth Advisory Committee Meeting, as soon
as it is so delivered.

2.1. Public Comment
At this time, the public is permitted to address the Youth Advisory Committee on non-agendized items. Please step to the
podium and clearly state your name for the record. COMMENTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED THREE (3) MINUTES. In
accordance with State Law, no action or discussion may take place on any item not appearing on the posted ag enda. The
Youth Advisory Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a
future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Recording Secretary’s Office related to
the proper procedure to place an item on a future Youth Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the
Youth Advisory Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in
Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).
3. CONSENT CALENDAR
Consent Calendar items are typically non-controversial in nature and are considered for approval by the Youth Advisory
Committee with one single action. Members of the audience, Staff or the Youth Advisory Committee who would like an item
removed from the Consent Calendar for purposes of public input may request the Chair to remove the item.
3.1. Minutes of the February 27, 2019 Regular Youth Advisory Committee Meeting
The Youth Advisory Committee will consider approval of the minutes of the
February 27, 2019 Regular meeting.

Approve the minutes of the February 27, 2019 Regular Youth Advisory Committee
meeting.

7.1. Youth Advisory Committee Annual Report Presentation
The Youth Advisory Committee will discuss its accomplishments during the 2018-
2019 term, in preparation for the Annual Report to the City Council and the Parks and
Community Services Commission.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Discuss accomplishments that should be included in the 2018-2019 Annual Report.
7.2. Spring Eggstravaganza
The Committee will be asked to volunteer at the Annual Spring Eggstravaganza
event.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Volunteer during the Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 8:00
AM to 1:00 PM.
8. OTHER BUSINESS
Brief information only reports from the Committee and/or Staff, including committee reports and reports by the
Committee related to meetings attended at City expense (AB1234).
9. ADJOURNMENT

Youth Advisory Committee Annual Report Presentation

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Youth Advisory Committee will discuss its accomplishments during the 2018 -2019
term, in preparation for the Annual Report to the City Council and the Parks and
Community Services Commission.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Discuss accomplishments that should be included in the 2018-2019 Annual Report.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
N/A
DESCRIPTION:
Each year, Youth Advisory Committee Members present an Annual Report highlighting
the Youth Advisory Committee’s accomplishments during the current term. These
accomplishments include volunteering at City events, receiving Youth Mini Grant
awards, engaging in fundraising efforts for the Youth Fee Assistance Program,
participating in the Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair, and completing other projects
that involved the Advisory Committee. The Annual Report will be presented at the May
meetings of the Parks and Community Services Commission and the City Council.
The Youth Advisory Committee’s 2018-2019 term accomplishments include the
following:
· Assisted Staff with the City's Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Civic Center on
Thursday, November 29, 2018.
· Awarded a total of seven youth organizations from a Boy Scouts Troop, Dublin
Unified School District and Quarry Lane with Youth Advisory Committee Youth
Mini Grants, totaling $1,600 (Boy Scouts of America Troop 905, Dublin High
Teens Unite For Education, Dublin High HOA, Dublin High Gales Connect,

Dublin High Girls who Code, Valley Children's Museum Teen Council and Quarry
Lane’s Environmental Club).
· Assisted with the 2019 Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair at the Dublin Senior
Center on Saturday, March 2, 2019.
· Raised funds for the Youth Fee Assistance Program during the St. Patrick’s Day
Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17, 2019.
· Will assist Staff with the Spring Eggstravaganza event set -up, egg hunt, Peter
Rabbit or Flopsy, costumes and event clean-up at Emerald Glen Park to be held
on Saturday, April 20, 2019.
· Will partner with the Senior Center Advisory Committee to host a multi-
generational Benefit Concert at the Emerald Glen Amphitheatre, to be held on
Sunday, April 7, 2019.
This year, the presentation will be delivered by Chair Wong and Vice Chair Huang at the
May 20, 2019 Parks and Community Services and May 21, 2019 City Council Meeting.

The Committee will be asked to volunteer at the Annual Spring Eggstravaganza event.

DESCRIPTION:
The City’s annual Spring Eggstravaganza will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at
Emerald Glen Park. The event will feature an egg hunt, crafts, games, bounce houses
and photos with Peter Rabbit and Flopsy.
The Youth Advisory Committee typically assists Staff with the event by volunteering for
event set-up, egg hunt, dressing up as Peter Rabbit or Flopsy, and event clean -up.
Staff is requesting the Committee volunteer at the event for the above -mentioned
duties.
