A telephonic option will also be available. • Once connected, the public speaker will be placed in an on-line waiting room. While in the waiting room, the public speaker will hear the meeting while they are connected and waiting to speak. • When the agenda item upon which the individual would like to comment is addressed, the speaker will be announced in the meeting when it is his/her time to speak to the committee. COMMENTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED THREE (3) MINUTES. In accordance with State Law, no action or discussion may take place on any item not appearing on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. 3. CONSENT CALENDAR Consent Calendar items are typically non-controversial in nature and are considered for approval by the Youth Advisory Committee with one single action. Members of the audience, Staff or the Youth Advisory Committee who would like an item removed from the Consent Calendar for purposes of public input may request the Chair to remove the item. 3.1 Approval of the April 28, 2021 Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting Minutes The Youth Advisory Committee will consider approval of the minutes of the April 28, 2021 Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve the minutes of the April 28, 2021 Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting. Staff Report Attachment 1 - April 28, 2021 Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting Minutes 3.2 Dissolution of the Dublin Benefit Concert Subcommittee The Youth Advisory Committee created a subcommittee for the planning and implementation of the 2020-2021 Dublin Benefit Concert. The concert occurred on Sunday April 11, 2021 and the subcommittee can now be dissolved. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Dissolve the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Youth Advisory Committee Dublin Benefit Concert Subcommittee. Staff Report 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None. 5. NEW BUSINESS 5.1 Report on 2020-21 Youth Advisory Committee Activities and End-of-Term Celebration The Committee will receive and discuss a report on the 2020-21 Youth Advisory Committee activities and participate in an end-of-term celebration. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive the report, provide feedback to Staff with advice for the incoming 2021-2022 Youth Advisory Committee Members, and participate in the celebration to recognize the outgoing Committee Members. Dublin HOSA The Committee asked questions and discussed the presentations. Member Mitr left the meeting at 7:24 PM. 5. New Business 5.1Annual Presentation by Youth Advisory Committee The Committee heard the Annual Presentation by Chair Saanya Goel and Vice-Chair Aleena Imran. The Committee discussed the presentation and provided input in preparation for their final presentation at the Regular Meeting of the Dublin City Council on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. 6. The concert occurred on Sunday, April 11, 2021 and the subcommittee can now be dissolved. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Dissolve the 2020-21 Youth Advisory Committee Dublin Benefit Concert Subcommittee. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. DESCRIPTION: At the October 28, 2020 Youth Advisory Committee meeting, the 2021 Dublin Benefit Concert Subcommittee was established to help implement the event work plan. The Dublin Benefit Concert was held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 5:00 pm online via Zoom. Now that the event has concluded, it is recommended that the subcommittee be dissolved. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive the report, provide feedback to Staff with advice for the incoming 2021-2022 Youth Advisory Committee Members, and participate in the celebration to recognize the outgoing Committee Members. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. DESCRIPTION: The current term of the Youth Advisory Committee expires at the end of May 2021. The end-of- term celebration is held to express appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of the 2020-21 Youth Advisory Committee Members. Staff is requesting that outgoing Committee Members reflect on the ending term and provide feedback to Staff with advice for the incoming 2021-22 Youth Advisory Committee Members.
