This is primarily attributable to a rise in part-time salaries and food costs. The Committee unanimously recommended approval of the proposed fees to the Parks and Community Services Commission. Mr. McCreary explained that the City had invited non-profit developers to submit proposals for developing housing for seniors on the site for the Council to consider. Burr Cain asked for clarification that the Senior Center and housing are two separate projects. Mr. McCreary anticipated they would be separate projects since the application timelines for receiving federal funding would probably delay construction of the housing until after the new Senior Center is under construction.
