CM Sandeman commented that after reading the review she thought the existing meal program is the best deal you can get. She asked if there might be an easier way to sign up for lunches. There were questions about how to accommodate patrons who did not pre-register for lunch, but show up seeking a meal. Staff indicated those individuals can only be accommodated if there are extra meals from people who do not show up to purchase the meal they preordered. CM Sandeman asked about the possibility of having pre-bagged snacks available for purchase. Cronin suggested that Staff chart a period of time to see how many people come to the Center expecting to purchase a meal without pre-registering for the meal. The question was asked how many people show up for lunch who are not pre-registered. Staff will look at charting these points. Staff pointed out that one of the goals of the Spectrum Program was to get seniors out of their homes and socialize while receiving a congregate meal.
